Couture 2008 review: A study in contrasts

Las Vegas—The high-end designers at the Couture show in Las Vegas offered a little something for everyone, with bold statement pieces such as head-turning hoops and large, all-metal cocktail rings sharing booth space with items of a decidedly more demure bent.

Vintage-inspired, invariably feminine designs were a favorite for Couture designers, proving that some of the most fashion-forward pieces may be those that keep an eye on the past.
